1ST: Helen Rutherford ( won a 2hr recording session @ The Hope )
2nd: Daniel Clarke ( won a meal for 2 up to the value of £35 )

Well done and we will be seeing them in the Final @ The Willows on the 22nd September which will also be the opening event of this years festival.

Round 3, compered by Ed Blaney (Salford Music Festival promoter) takes place on Friday 22nd July at The Hope

Silky & Salford Music Festival presents...SALFORD'S GOT TALENT 2011
Salford's Got Talent is back for 2011, bigger & better with more acts, more venues, qualifying rounds & new judges, all leading up to the grand final in September.

There will be four qualifying rounds, with one per month taking place in May, June, July & August. The top 3 from each round, as voted by local celebrity & music industry judges, will go through to the grand final at The Willows on 22nd September, where the first prize is £500.

Entry is open to anyone with a talent ! If you would like to enter fill the form on the right in..

Qualifying Round #1 takes place on Friday 20th May at The Old Pint Pot pub on Adelphi Street, hosted by the Silky dj's & Ed Blaney of Salford Music Festival. Entry is free.

Amongst the contestants are hip-hop mc's, divas, bands, singer/songwriters & street dancers.

The judges are

Rob van Arden (Silky resident dj)

Last year, the inaugural Salford's Got Talent event, with support from the likes of Peter Hook & Terry Christian, raised over £1,500 for the Advertiser Christie Appeal. This year, the events are supporting The Salford Music Festival which takes place September 22nd-25th.
